About 'Caminos del Inka, a musical journey'

Caminos del Inka

In May 2010, kohoBeat ry and Caminos del Inka Inc. joined forces to present "Caminos del Inka, a musical journey", a musical and visual journey along the Inca Trails. Built by the Inca Empire, this extensive network of pathways unites what is now Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Argentina.

The event consisted of an audiovisual concert featuring chamber works from South America. Most of these works were performed in Scandinavia for the first time. The visual presentation showcased the land of the Incas, its landscapes of extremes, its unreachable and untamed nature, and its unique identity through different musical views of its History and cultural heritage.

The concert was presented to a full house and Helsinki’s main newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, gave a positive review the day after. For this event kohoBeat garnered the support of several cultural institutions and private companies based in Finland, all of which are listed below.
